The Historic Timekeepers Portfolio
OK, this is a "brag" sheet. However, many of us like to know who we are dealing with. This section will give you an idea of my capabilities and what other professionals think of my services. In 2010 I finally took advantage of a longstanding invitation to attend WOSTEP (Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Education Program). This is a sort of graduate school for watchmakers. I graduated from all of my courses and I am certified in After Sales Service of current production watches (manual, automatic, calendar and chronographs) and hold certificates in micromachining and precision timing. I also graduated from the factory course on the venerable 7750 movement. We are frequently recommended by the staff at the Hamilton Watch repair center for those seeking to restore Hamilton's famous M21 Marine chronometer and M22 Deck Watch. In addition, we have served as the national instructor for chronometer restoration for the American Watchmaker's Institute, served as a consultant to the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, and have had articles published by both AWI and the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. Also, there are links to articles of interest to collectors and restorers regarding the tools and techniques I employ. In particular, I provide information about some little known tools whose use makes possible the highest grade work. I have been lucky enough to have teachers that exposed me to these tools; and I am willing to share what they have passed on to me.
